Tim Jackson, CMP, CAE


As the chief staff officer of CADA, Tim advocates for issues of importance to franchise auto dealers’ business and employment issues and fights for entrepreneurial freedom in the legislative process. Tim also oversees the operation of the annual Denver Auto Show, along with Marsha Temple, COO, Colorado’s largest consumer show.

Tim’s association career includes service as the Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, Executive Vice President for the US Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), and two statewide associations in Missouri.

Tim serves as a tireless advocate at the state capitol during the 120-day session of the state legislature. He represents Colorado dealers before public, governmental and community forums. Tim is a frequent speaker on topics related to the past, present and future of the U.S. auto industry. He co-authored The 100 Year Deal, a history of Colorado’s and U.S. automotive industry.

Tim is a Certified Association Executive and a Certified Meeting Professional.

Tim and his wife, Beverly, reside in Denver. They have two grown children — a daughter who is an attorney with the FDIC, and a son who is working on his PhD in Economics at the University of Miami.

He likes to spend his limited spare time reading, water skiing, parasailing, wave-running and cycling. An avid cyclist, Tim logs more than 3,000 miles a year, including the-more-than 400 miles in the Colorado mountains in one week in mid-June, as part of The Denver Post’s Ride the Rockies tour.
